Be a part of Cornwall’s Green Future
A pioneering co-operative venture to develop small to medium scale community owned renewable energy installations in communities across Cornwall will take a major step forward on Saturday 12th March with the launch of Community Power Cornwall’s first share issue.
Community Power Cornwall is blazing the trail for communities to take an active role in meeting their energy needs through renewable sources, while retaining financial, social and environmental benefits within the county by supporting further community-led low carbon activity across Cornwall.
First phase projects
Planning permission has been secured to site two Endurance E-3120 50KW wind turbines on land at Tregerrick farm, Gorran Highlanes, which are expected to be installed later this spring. Planning applications have also been submitted for single 50KW wind turbines on land at the BF Adventure site at Halvasso near Penryn and RSPCA Cornwall’s Rescue Centre at Higher Quoit near St Columb.
Your opportunity to make an ethical investment
After three years in development, the launch of our first share issue is make or break time to ensure that communities take an active role in Cornwall’s renewable energy future and prevent domination in the sector by commercial developers.
